Rental Terms and Conditions

Driver / Renter Age Requirements

• The minimum age for renting a vehicle is 23 years for all standard vehicle categories.
• For luxury or premium categories, the minimum age is 25 years.

Driving License Requirements

• The driver must hold a valid driving license issued at least one year prior to the rental date.
• Accepted licenses include:

1. Greek driving license
2. Driving license issued by an EU/EEA member state
3. International driving permit (for non-EU countries)

Identification Documents

• Each driver must present the following original documents upon vehicle pick-up:

1. Valid driving license
2. National ID card or valid passport

• Photocopies or digital copies are not accepted.
• Failure to present the required documents will result in the cancellation of the rental without refund.

Payment Methods

• A valid credit or debit card is required for all rentals, even if payment is made in cash.
• The card must be in the name of the main driver.

Rental Duration & Charges

• Rental charges are calculated on a 24-hour basis.
• Any return delay beyond the agreed return time will be charged as an additional rental day.

Reservation Modifications & Cancellations

• Modifications to existing reservations can be made upon request and are subject to vehicle availability and current pricing.
• Cancellations:

1. Free of charge if made at least 7 days prior to the pick-up date
2. A 10% fee of the total rental cost applies to cancellations made less than 7 days in advance

Out-of-Hours Delivery & Collection

• Standard service hours are 08:00 – 20:00.
• Deliveries or returns outside these hours may incur an additional fee, depending on location and timing.

Ferry Transport

• Written authorization from AUTOCARRENTAL.GR is required for transporting any vehicle by ferry.

Cross-Border Travel

• Cross-border rentals (outside Greece) are only permitted with prior written approval from AUTOCARRENTAL.GR.

Fuel Policy

• The renter is responsible for fuel costs.
• Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at the time of pick-up.
• Missing fuel is charged at €20 per bar (as indicated on the fuel gauge).

Roadside Assistance

• Free 24/7 roadside assistance is available throughout mainland Greece and most islands (with some exceptions).

Security Deposit / Damage Waiver (Excess)

A refundable security deposit applies based on vehicle category:

• €500 for categories A, B
• €500 for categories C, CD, FS, FC
• €900 for categories F, D, SW
• €1,300 for categories L, V7, V9 and luxury vehicles

Traffic Violations & Fines

• All traffic fines and administrative penalties incurred during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the renter.

Mileage Policy

• Rentals up to 3 days include 150 km/day.

1. Extra kilometers are charged at €0.50/km.

• Rentals of 4 days or more include unlimited mileage.

Theft & Collision Damage Insurance (TP/CDW)

If not included in the rental rate, optional insurance coverage is available at the following daily rates:

• €5/day for categories A, B
• €8/day for categories C, D
• €12/day for categories F, E, SW
• €15/day for categories L, V, G

In case of theft, if the corresponding coverage has not been selected, the renter bears full responsibility for the loss of the vehicle.

In case of damage, even with active coverage, the renter is responsible for damages up to €500 (e.g. parking scratches, driver negligence, excessive tire wear).
